The Crew
Mike and Janine Freeman, owners of J-9 Crop, have been married for 27 years and raised their two kids on the family farm west of Ault. Janine sold crop insurance for Crossroads Insurance for 10 years, until 1997, when she went out on her own and started J9 Crop Insurance. Mike continued to farm until 2001, when he joined forces with her. As the business has grown over the years they have added staff to their family.
Susie Larson who is also Janine’s mother has worked at J-9 since 1998. She is the friendly voice you hear as you call in. She also has the farm background since she and her husband, Laurie Larson, have farmed for their 53 years of marriage together just west of Ault.
Tamara Teeter started with J-9 Crop in 2002, and has the answers that you all need. Tamara also has a farm background from growing up on a farm west of Eaton. Tamara is married to Tom and is very busy with her 10 year old triplets - Madison, Skylar and Jake.
Michele Christensen is our computer specialist. She is our newbie starting in 2006. Michele is from Brush and graduated from CSU in 2009 with a degree in Business Management.
